Switch Meltdown

Anyone out there using Netonix Switches? if so, please read and provide me some way of understanding what went wrong here.
The below post was placed on Ubiquiti forums and it was suggested i post it here. We had maintenance scheduled last night on one of our towers and part of that included removing a Mikrotik switch and a pile of injectors and installing the Neetonix POE 24 port switch. The results were less than optimal.

I just went to our primary tower to replace a Rocket M5 that had become problematic, and replace our old switch with a Netonix. This new switch provided me with 24 POE ports, powers my Air Fiber, and allows me to see quite a bit of detail on each port through an easy GUI, and most important, allows me to power cycle a device remotely if there was an issue.
So i placed it in our network, and things looked OK. Then climbed the tower, asked my wingman to shut down the POE on the Rocket port, swapped the radio, and powered the port back up. nothing. the M5 brand new in the box did not ever power up again. i went down the tower to see if we could use the old injector, and that did not work. While fiddling with two Rockets, i noticed we were not passing traffic anymore. our Air Fiber had gone down. the port on which the AF24 was on just was "down". then we noticed another device down. The switch just began to fail port by port. i experienced this with another netonix but felt it was my fault. This time it was just outright failing.
Anyone have a clue what this could have been?
The tower has one Rocket M5, One Rocket AC, one AF24, one Powerbeam AC 500 and one NanoBeam.

A "guess" would be that your wingman may have applied 24VH instead of 24V damaging the port?

Not sure, but I would fully test out the switch on your bench as described in this post:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1259#p9359

After doing the tests outlined in the above post let us know what you find.

We've fried two ports on a switch in our warehouse by applying 24VH where we shouldn't have.. this is the most likely problem.

The netonix switches are not perfect. but they are solid. our entire network is riding on them now. with more than 20 switches at towers we've never had a single issue as long we we have not done something dumb.

The switches are definately not plug and play. If you want that, you should look for something else.
If you want a switch perfect for running a wISP, easily powering all your equipment and very stable at the same time, buy Netonix....

But spend some time learning the product....
