Chris, in a bind, can't get a WS to talk to a cisco 3560x switch... what does port isolation mean to you guys, communicates when that is flipped...

Read these posts found with a search for "Port Isolation":
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1126&p=8391&hilit=port+isolation#p8391

Port Isolation (but discussed a couple times on forum)
Any port with Port Isolation Enabled will not talk to any other port with Port Isolation also Enabled. Pretty much the same as client Isolation on an AP.
Support is handled on the Forums not in Emails and PMs.

I still don't know what the problem was. I had a port sending untagged vlan1 traffic, not in trunk or anything, and the cisco was throwing 'trunk port error'. The cisco was passing untagged by stripping a vlan out. the cisco would then block the port. port isolation was the fix...but it doesn't make sense because it shouldn't have been passing any other vlans..
