I hear what your saying but does not make any logical sense?

That https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles ... ut-voltage article does state the 2X needs higher voltage and draws more current so not sure why you would run it on 24V since it also states it supports 48V. I'm surprised they would even ship it with a 24V brick or did it come with a 48V one?

All the AFX that I purchased came with a 50V power adapter. Purchased in November 2015 and January 2016

That could explain then why the brick would work better than powering with 24V from the switch.

5x on 3.2 no discernible difference on performance from 24 - 48VH-48 back to 24V, no idea of age but travelled to UK spent a vacation with a distributor and been on my network around 6 months and still alive

I have a few AF5x radios that run kinda funky with 200ft+ runs under high load. RF side of the link will randomly lock up.

Going to try 48V and see if this fixes it.

Well 24VH or 48VH would be preferred but I would guess 48V would be better then 24V on a long cable run.

24V is "ok" up to about 200 feet.

I have a few that are older style units, would 24VH be an improvement?

Well yea, that was the whole purpose of 24VH. The only device on the market that can use 24VH is the AFX radios.

24V standard is for airMAX radios but will work for AFX radios up to about 200 feet of cable.

We have a lot of AF5x running at both 24vh and 24v. They seem fine.
We just put up one AF2x link, and we had a lot of trouble with it, until I realized my tech plugged it into a toughswitch! Replaced toughswitch with a netonix running 24vh and its been working good.

But if I can change it to 48v, that would be even better.
For the 2x, does it support 48VH and 48V?
