We have not officially set the high end which can handle 80V but we will probably limit it to 72V

so 9V to 72V DC in

That will so rock! 72V is high enough that 48V battery strings can be used on Solar WITH the higher voltage that is seen during battery equalization which can be much higher than 60 Volts. This brings me to my next question... Are these switches more efficient when the input voltage is higher? Or is it better to try and run everything at the same or close to the same voltage? i.e. if the majority of the POE's are 24V is it better for the input to be 24V or 48V?

The next batch of WS-12-250-DC will also be 9-72V

Efficiency is "close" to the same from 18V-48V.

All input is converted to 50V by the smart DC power supply and handed to the switch board which down converts to 24V as needed so makes no difference anyway.

Sweet... Ok so I am starting to get why everybody raves about you... Don't take this wrong, you have a coupla quirks, but I think they are what get you to the level that you have achieved... Nobody has a switch with this intuitive an interface with this many features and so blastedly compatible... Yeah they are a little pricy but way less than they should be for what's in them!!!! Thanks Mate you are making my life a lot better... And there is no price on that...

WTF are you talking about, I have a lot of quirks, but my biggest quirk is I speak my mind so if people do not know me very well they often think I am a DICK and or a JERK. However once people get to really know me they then think I am a DICK and a JERK.

I am not politically correct and often speak before I think how it will sound to the person I am speaking with which often leads people to think I am being a DICK and or a JERK when in reality I am just a DICK and a JERK.

I often think my way of doing things is the only and best way to do something so when I explain something people think I am speaking down to them which makes them feel I am being a DICK and a JERK.

But if you look past those quirks you will come to the same opinion of me as my wife and kids have of me which is that I am a DICK and a JERK. :rofl4:
