My first switch arrived a few days ago. Very pleased, but pretty sure I have an issue with one port...
-Unifi AP plugged into port 5 = All okay.
-Cable test on empty port 6 = open, open, open, open, all 0ft
-Unifi moved from Port 5 to 6. Can no longer ping. Powers up okay, but is 'isolated'. Green 24V, 2.9W Tx data 0B Rx data 300kB
-Cable test on port 6 with Unifi in place ok,ok,short, short, all 1m.

I am not sure I follow you
If you turn POE off on port 6 and plug your laptop in are you getting a 1G connection and can you communicate with your network?
