Hi, We have several WS-24-400A that we keep loosing CLI or GUI access to.
They are all running 1.3.9
Serial access isn't working either.
Only solution is to power cycle the switch and then we are good for some semi-random number of days.
Any thoughts ??

Re: keep loosing CLI/GUI access to switches
I run a lot of WS-24-400A at my WISP and do not have that problem?
Are you leaving the UI logged into the switch? If so you do realize that this is HTTPS and the Certificate will expire (depending on your browser setting) and you need to hit refresh then accept the certificate again.
What browser are you using?
Now if you have a large flat network you might want to try v1.4.0rc12 as there were fixes for people running large flat networks.

Re: keep loosing CLI/GUI access to switches
No we are NOT leaving the browser "logged in" We lost all management connectivity at 03:43 MDT today to one of of our devices.
Just prior to loosing SNMP monitoring reports CPU rising from 28% to over 90% before connectivity was lost.
At present no SSH/WEB/PING/SERIAL to the device
reports from users a MUM/Dallas is that if you do frequent SNMP the system will lock up.
Running 1.3.9

OK, I will inform Eric.
Is there anyway you can confirm it is SNMP causing you your grief, maybe turn SNMP monitoring OFF and see if the problem goes away?
I think v1.4.0rcX had some fixes that would help but there is a small memory hole in v1.4.0rc12 currently as discussed here. viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1672
The memory hole is small and slow and can be bypassed altogether if you turn Discovery OFF on the Device/Configuration Tab but we are going to release a new version soon possibly this weekend.
