Same here. This is absurd. We, too, had a ridiculous amount of pause frames reaching the switch.

I'm doing some tests with RX disabled/TX enabled.

Solves my upload problem but I'm not sure what issues having one way flows would cause.

Need more data.

@sirhc

What firmware version are you using on your AC PTP links?

That makes sense, Flow Control is disabled ? Or am I missing something here. Can you see Tx/Rx pause frames on equipment that has not turned FC on ?

No, if Flow Control is Disabled on either device FLow Control is not active and Pause Frames will not occur.

Now be careful as Flow Control can be setup on each device as Obey, Generate, Both, or None and depending on how each is set up will affect Tx and Rx Pause Frames.

Now if the Pause Frames existed on the interface before disabling it then you would have to clear the port stats to clear the pre-existing Pause Frame stats.

Our new firmware allows this granular configuration and also has Pause Frame Storm Protection which will detect a storm and disable it on the port.

Plus if you enable Discovery on the Device/Configuration Tab we now have a cool Discovery function that detects UDP, CDP, and LLDP devices.

Current rc25 release will not detect mFi or airCAM devices but that is fixed in the next release

I have had this happen on 3x 6 port mini's and a 12 port 250DC switches now. I have redone the ends god knows how many ties and replaced cables. sometimes changing the bend radius seems to help for a while.

This is really doing my head in now, I have some very unhappy customers, can you please advise of a fix for this, I have put 1.4.2 on the WS but it didn't help.

One minute it says: 100M-FFlow Control: 24V

The next it says: 1G Flow Control: 24V

Then: Down 24V 0.0

Please advise how I can fix this issue

There is no bug in the firmware that does this the firmware/switch is just telling you the port speed is changing.

You have 1 of the following:
Bad Cable

Bad Ends

Bad Radio - Test by swapping radios (I have found several bad radios over the years)

Bad Port (in the switch) - which you can test by moving to another port and if the problem is still there then it is not the switch port.

Interference on your cable such as from FM or AM towers but if you're not on an AM / FM tower this is probably not it.

Now you can also have noise on your Ethernet cable from a poor ground bond and excess ground current is on your cable

READ THIS POST: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1816

Poor grounding and bonds will also damage the switches as there is excess current flowing across the line and through the switch.

Here are some good posts on grounding:
