WS-8-250-DC Not passing vlan

Thu Jul 14, 2016 12:44 pm

ws8-250-DC running 1.4.2rc6. will pass mangement vlan 10 just fine. will not pass vlan 20. I have had this happen on 2 switches. Replace with a WS-12-250-DC w/ same config & 1.4.2rc6 & it work fine.ImageImage

Well all our switches use the same basic design, same switch core, and same firmware so that does not make any sense.

ONLY possibly thing I can think of is the config file is corrupt, try factory defaulting it and then re-setting it back up?

That seems to have done the trick. That is strange as it was configured from scratch before. I had even deleted that vlan 20 & re-added it with a cold start.
That is the second time I have seen that. The other switch I am still waiting for them to bring that one in so I can check it but I bet a factory reset will fix it also.
I did notice that the discovery is not working w/management vlan. no big deal.
