Can you get a backup of the switch config and send it to me? Email to eric@netonix.com would be easiest.

alex.frisbie wrote:Two switches that I've flashed the newest firmware onto (wispswitch-1.4.3rc3) have had an issue where after a period of time it stops passing data. I cannot ping the switch or anything connected to it. When connecting to it I don't get an IP address. This has happened in three scenarios with 3 different types of switches. It happened on the WS-8-250-AC and the WS-8-150-AC and the WS-10-250-AC. The fix is rebooting the switch... I have to believe it's the new firmware, as I didn't have this problem with 1.4.2. Has anyone else experienced this?
P.S. This also happened with wispswitch-1.4.3rc4.

There was a change between v1.4.2 and v1.4.3 in how we detect a Pause Frame Storm and we may have error-ed in this change?
Known radios with Flow Control issues:
AFX radios
Cambium epmp 2000
THINGS TO TRY BELOW WHEN THIS HAPPENS, PICK ONE:
Try Disabling Flow Control on all radios then every few days enable flow control on ONE radio until you find the one with the Flow Control issue.
OR
Another option to find it faster is console port into the switch with the issue and disable flow control one port at a time until the switch comes back to life.
OR
Another option is to 1 by 1 remove each Ethernet cable and count to 5 and plug it back in until the switch comes back to life. I KNOW THIS GOES AGAINST MY RULES OF NOT PLUGGING LIVE POE PORTS BUT SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO BREAK THE RULES WHEN TRACKING DOWN AN ISSUE.
I would do option #3
Once you find the device causing the issue disable Flow Control on that port and let me know.
