you should specify that we are discussing Subscriber units,
AP's are another story
Canopy (Cambium) Subscribers 900, 2400, 5200, 5700, 430, and 450 all use 24 volts to 29 volts,
24 is good for short range, 29 recommended for long cable runs, But all have reversed polarity of voltage from typical poe specs,
so swapping blue pair with brown pair works but I recommend using a tycon POE Xover cable so you do not get lost in a mess of crossed cables,
but,,,
ap's are different,
430AP uses a cable with no crossover and pins 4 and 8 swapped on one end 48V selected,
450I AP uses straight cable with 48V selected
450 Ap uses 24V with a POE Xover (or blue pair crossed with brown pair)

Cambium sells an adapter, but a Keystone Cat5e Jack with shrink wrap will cost about 10% of what that costs. We do this with legacy 24V devices like Canopy, Trango, and Tranzeo and also with the new Cambium 48VDC equipment. Might be a little clunky I guess, but significantly cleaner in my book then wall warts and PoE injectors.
