Reboot command via SSH?

DId the reload cold, did not resolve the issue. I have a device that is connection at only 100mb vrs 1gig on the port which is set to auto. We do not want to hard set and possible loose connection to the switch. The device is an Ubiquiti Air Fiber 5x in PTP mode, it is not powered by the switch , just data only. This also happened last Monday and we were able to reboot the switch and reconnect at 1g. We do not have remote power cycle at this one location, any other suggestions would be very Thank Full. This is a brand new switch just installed 3 weeks ago.

Well why would you not be powering the radio via the switch?

And I doubt this is a switch issue, more than likely a cable/end/radio issue. (more likely cable/end)

You can try and DISABLE the port communications on the Port Tab Save/Apply then RE-ENABLE Save/Apply which will force the communications to renegotiate.

Also make sure you are running v1.4.5, not that this is this issue but ALWAYS keep the switch up to date.

Thanks for the suggestions, when we replaced the switch new shielded cable was run from the device, 30FT from device to switch. Would love to disable and enable the com port, however the device is primary feed for the tower and we would not be able to regain access to the switch unless we are on site. I will try and enable and disable port on device and see what happens. i upgraded to v1.4.6 this morning , we can bring it back to 1.4.5 if you wish.

Here is the log file from the cold boot, we need to do a complete power cycle on the device remotely, the only access we have this time of year is by chopper. Is there a power cycle command avaible. At the time we install the AFX5 we were on a tough switch, we look for a proper setting for power on the Netonix Switch and could not find an answer at that time to use 24vlt .75 or 1.5 amps for switch power settings. We would be more that happy to power up on the switch with the proper settings.

The AF5X can be powered by:
24V up to 160 feet +/- of cable < Least prefered method
48V up to 200 feet +/- of cable < Better method
24VH up to 326 feet +/- of cable < Even better method
48VH up to 326 feet +/- of cable < Preferred method

The AFX radios can actually use all 4 POE options we have as seen above.

But if you were not sure you should have searched on the forum and or asked on the forum.

I am still betting on a cable/end issue and even if you get it to link back up at 1G it will eventually drop back if it is the cable/end. I know this from experience with my WISP.

Best to leave it be and accept 100M for now if it is so hard to get to.

Thanks for the info, will power up the device from the switch, the run is only 30 feet from device to switch. would you use 24vlt .75 amp , or 24 vlt 1.5 amp we will get to the location via helicopter and check every thing out. With the amount of data we pull at this location we need to get a gig connection. Thanks for all your help.

I would still use port 1-4 and power with 48VH which is most efficient.
