TL-SM321A Support

Mon Dec 12, 2016 1:32 pm

Hi,

Is there any plans to support BiDirectional SFP's?

We have tried a few but they don't seem to work, the model we have been using is this: TL-SM321A,

Has anyone else had any luck?

Thanks

Mike

I have both Mikrotik S-53LC20D/S-35LC20D and Fiberstore SFP-GE-BX BiDi modules in my lab and they work fine. Make sure you are using the latest firmware.

We also have Maxxwave on production with WS-12-250-AC and they work fine.

Don't forget to try both rate (forced to 1G and auto) and be sure to have MTU higher than 1500 or 1504 (not sure anymore about older default MTU on old firmware). On those older firmware, MTU was too low in some case for SFP ports. The default is now 1528 if I remeber well.

Thanks Both,

I'll try upgrading a couple to the latest and failing that get the Mikrotik SFP's!

Thanks

Mike

I have been using a TL-SM321A module in a WS-12-250-D for about 10 months now. I'm not sure what firmware version we started with, but this site is currently on 1.4.4.
