Hi All,
I've browsed the forums but can't seem to find anyone who has successfully powered a Trango Apex Plus or Lynx series radios. Trango's PoE injectors are complete garbage and I'd like to power them with the Netonix switch. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Keith

Re: Can Netonix Power Trango Lynx?
Like I said in my initial post, I searched the forums before posting. I looked at the two links you provided and I've seen those pages and none of them provide feedback on powering the model's described in my post.

Re: Can Netonix Power Trango Lynx?
Well if ti would work it would require you to use 48VH
It "says" it has polarity protection I assume similar to MIMOSA radios.
You need to ask Trango support, our switch will provide 50V with a constant power draw of up to 75 watts with POE option 48VH with the following polarity pin out.
PINS 1,2,4,5 - POSITIVE
PINS 3,6,7,8 - NEGATIVE

Re: Can Netonix Power Trango Lynx?
Trango's response:
"We require -48Vt on ALL eight pins, with the shield and drain wire acting as the + ground. This is why shielded cables and connectors are required, and we highly recommend soldering the drain wire to each shielded connector. I would suggest instead directly powering the radios. Forego POE altogether and run fiber to the radios for your network connections, and use the Trango rack mount -48Vt supply to run a two conductor power cable to the radios."
Looks like I will have to go that route :\

Well there is hope for the future, we are considering making an adapter to work with radios like this next year.
