Ports 1-12 Down

Sat Dec 24, 2016 4:34 am

Have a WS-24-400A Rev D that was humming along for the better part of a year and all of the sudden have lost Ports 1-12. Power cycled, Upgraded to latest firmware, Reset to Defaults, etc. to not avail.

In the status screen I have a message under the Thermal section that PHY Temp (Ports 1-12) is an Error rather than a graph with a temperature value. This is the case for all ports for 1-12, whether powered or not. Turned of PS as well to no effect. What is strange is this is powering three WS-6-Minis and on two of the ports (Port 2 Port 3), the switch appears to say the link to those switches is coming up though is limited to 100 megs even when I have disabled power to the port. Port 1, which also as a mini does not appear to even attempt to link at 100 megs though in physically looking at the switch, it is the only one with a flashing red light indicating 48VH.

Any ideas? Can this be repaired? MAC is: ec:13:b3:01:1d:74

Thanks.

I would RMA it, you can find instructions here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1259

Yes any switch can be repaired even if it is out of warranty

Thanks for the quick response. In reviewing my records, it looks like the switch is actually in warranty thankfully. Submitted RMA e-mail today.

Thanks again and Merry Christmas.
