Hello, I'm playing with my first Netonix switch & like what I see so far but have a question about the Ubiquiti
Discovery feature. What exactly is it supposed to do? I've enabled it in the configuration along with the Discovery Tab option but more than 30 min later my Unifi Cloud Key controller still doesn't see the Netonix switch even though they are on the same network segment & subnet... Additionally the Tools > Discovery page isn't showing any of my Ubiquti hardware...
Any tips? I'm testing with firmware 1.4.6 on the 6-Mini
Mahalo from Hawaii

Re: Ubquiti Discovery
Well not sure the Unifi Cloud Key will report the switch unless it reports other protocols like UDP or LLDP devices?
If you enable UDP Protocol the UBNT Discovery tool that many WISPs use can see the switch.
Also you can enable CDP or Cisco Discovery Protocol then the switch will be visible to software searching for CDP devices.
You can also enable LLDP or Link Layer DIscovery Protocol for software that search for and finds devices that report on that protocol.
The Discovery Tab will show devices on the the local Layer 2 segment that report CDP, UDP, and LLDP.
Once again not sure if UniFi devices will show up unless you can enable CDP or LLDP on them?

Re: Ubquiti Discovery
Just wanted to come back & say thank you for the quick reply. If nothing else I was impressed by the speed of your response!
I was misunderstanding what the options were supposed to do. Your answer helped get me sorted. Thanks.
BTW, my positive experience with the switch thus far combined with your super fast reply & what I see here in the forum actually allowed me to recommend Netonix to a client last week who needs a decently large number of switches that would be served well by the WS-6-MINI. If you see an order for 20 switches come through for Hawaii that was probably my client.
Cheers!
