Julian,

Examine the first post in this thread, I edited it.

As an employee you can edit even my posts (careful now).

So from now on you can keep the list at the top updated from new posts added to this thread.

And Eric can try and tackle the list of SFP modules that you have listed as DO NOT WORK and then Eric can make a post if he fixes firmware to work with them and then you can update the list at the top based on Eric's Posts.

Wow, great post!

Just my little bit to add is that I've had nothing but problems with Mikrotik S+DA0001 (not sure what the r2 part is; maybe there's a new revision I don't know about?). I can get a link and can create a loop but don't seem to be able to pass any real traffic. I've tried combinations of both auto and forced 1G on both switches to no avail. Firmware version is 1.4.7rc11. I read something about older firmware working; but haven't tried downgrading. Just wanted to put my note on this in case anyone else is seeing the same issues.

Cheers!

Keep in mind that the new firmware allows you to set the speed and duplex on SFP ports.

You may need to try it with 1G and Auto but you also have to set the speed duplex to match on the far side of the links most times as well.

Older firmware does not work any better other than maybe the default in older firmware was 1G and the default in newer firmware is AUTO

Sorry, I noticed I missed that detail and edited my post. Thanks for the quick reply!

As far as I remember, r2 is the revision code, at least according to my dubious internet sources on the S+DA0001.

.. I will add the base model to the not working list, soon as I get to a computer.

Cheers! I did wonder that. If I try this on a different pair of switches and get different results I'll be sure to post an update on here.

I've just found this post about a user's results with a Cisco DA cable: https://forum.netonix.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=784

I've ordered some Fiberstore Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU50CM; I'll post my results.

Cheers!

I've just been in chat with Rose from Fiberstore regarding the availability of "SFP-1GTA-1M" (previously listed in the availability list on page 1). Here is her reply (posted with permission):

Rose:
for your Netonix switches, you can use this transceiver
Rose:
http://www.fs.com/products/34976.html
Rose:
it is same as the SFP-1GTA-1M, but we have a newer version of part number
Rose:
thats why it is not found on our website

In case anyone gets a dud link, it's a Cisco GLC-TA. I'm going to order some in for testing and will post my results.

Cheers.

CONFIRMED WORKING:

- Fiberstore SFP1G-LH-31
- Fiberstore SFP-10GLR-31 (10 Gb, tested for curiousity because I had a pair on hand)
- MikroTik S-53LC20D / S35LC20D (both ends tested)
- MikroTik S-RJ01

Tested on WS-12-250-DC, FW v1.4.7rc18, board rev F. Default configuration (Link - Auto; Flow Control - Both).
Endpoint is a MikroTik CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD-IN, FW v6.37.2. Auto Neg; Flow Control both off.

EDIT:
Also compatiable:

- Fiberstore SFP-GB-GE-T (also compatiable with MikroTik)
- Fiberstore SFP-10G-DAC (0.5m)

Same test environment as above.
