Hopefully, if this works, UBNT will apply the methodology to the AC Rocket lineup.

Re: Flow Control..... take 2, 3, 4?
8.0.2 beta is out for the AC product line up.
- Fix: Flow Control fix for WA products
Will try this and report back.
I can also confirm that 5x with 4.0 fixes the pause frame flood. No longer see massive amounts of pauses on Netonix/Cisco.

Re: Flow Control..... take 2, 3, 4?
Update:
WA based products no longer generate tons of pause frames.
Airfiber 5x running 4.0-b4 does not flood the ethernet port anymore when the data rates change.
According to Ubiquiti there's another fix coming for the XC products.
Finally getting somewhere :)

I remember when this Pause Frame Storm was first discovered.
"Some" of you guys were a little reluctant to take my word this was not a Netonix issue.
I will admit, even though we were fairly certain this was not our issue we did have a few heated internal conference calls trying to make sure.
To all those that took my personal word and trusted us thank you!
Just so happy UBNT is fixing this for everyone including my WISP!!!!

Re: Flow Control..... take 2, 3, 4?
What is status on the new firmware versions from UBNT ?
Can I start enabling FC again on my ports with:
WA-8.01
XC-8.01
XM-6.01
XW-6.01
firmware versions ?
Couldn't find anything in release notes, but maybe I look wrong place ?

Re: Flow Control..... take 2, 3, 4?
To my knowledge they have not changed anything that would stop the pause frames you see. They fixed a flow control issue with the wa products but it wasn't really related to the pause frame issue. They haven't really admitted to any issue yet as different vendors have different opinions of the way flow control works. I can say I have latest firmware and its still the same with f/c enabled. I have it off at this point but haven't seen performance difference even with it on everywhere generating millions of pause frames. The latest air fiber beta firmware suppose to have a FC fix because that was a different way of doing flow control so they adjusted it but latest firmware has bug that could lock you out. Not ready yet.

Re: Flow Control..... take 2, 3, 4?
Ubnt said in another thread that this fix for WA products was to fix another issue they had with flow control but doesn't directly fix the issue we see with pause frames

Re: Flow Control..... take 2, 3, 4?
I personally wish that flow control was not enabled by default in your switches. We are reasonably happy with the Netonix switches but it is annoying when we have issues because someone forgot to disable flow control on all ports when someone deployed a switch. I would much prefer it if Netonix switches had flow control off by default, like most other devices do.
