Rotten luck, Isaac. The best we can figure out, this hardware bug affects a certain percentage of units in that batch of switches. I haven't had luck trying to narrow down the root cause; all we know is how to fix it. That circuit has since been redesigned and our test plan has been modified to address this, I wish I had a better option than bringing it back in for repair, but unfortunately I do not.
There is a link to the RMA procedure a few posts up in this thread, please send your switch in. Normally we have these back on their way to the customer within 24-48 hours after we receive them, so at least there's that.

It comes to reason they were purchased at the same time. Some folks in my supply chain seem to send me old dusty stuff...
