Link state changed

Fri Apr 14, 2017 9:38 am

Hi sometimes when it feels like it I get link state changed down / up across the board.
I was using the latest stable and now the rc but same problem - there is no set time when it happens and nothing extra has been added to the ports.
I have a mix - AF5x, rocket legecy, rocket ac, Unifi, Home computer.

I have the WS-24-400A as the main switch, this switch has the problem. On my tower i have the WS-8-250-AC this never has problems.
1: Is there any settings i can untick to stop this happening?
2: What could be making this problem - is there anyway i can find out what could be making the problem?
Thank you.

Well obviously this is not an issue that is normal or a lot of people would be complaining including as I use these at my WISP.

So this means it is one of the following:
1) A defective unit - which you could test by swapping out a spare and see if the problem remains.

2) Something in your configuration but you did not bother to post up screen grabs of your Tabs and detail your installation

3) Something environmental like grounding or power but once again have no idea of your site setup, power, and grounding.

Your description of what happens is very vague to boot. You say links drop across the board but you do not indicate of your devices are rebooting or simply the Ethernet link drops then comes back.

Maybe post up screen grabs of all your TABs and provide a more detailed description of what is going on and I will see what suggestions I can come up with for you.
