In 4 sites (of many), Mikrotik hEX (R2) POE-powered by Netonix are showing 19.6-19.8v (instead of ~24v).
Which is it?
1. Netonix really output too low voltage (status page shows ~24v).
2. Mikrotik is not measuring voltage correctly?
3. A cable issue? Corrosion on RJ45? (all cables are 1ft long, and pass cable test).
4. Other?
No problems, everything is working fine, other 24v devices are powered by the Netonix switches at these sites.
Just a new NMS tool that is showing the Mikrotik voltage reading got my attention to this....
Naturally, the sites are far, and hard to go and check the real voltage.
Ideas?

What is the cable length? How many watts on the port?
Easy test is to put a banjo inline at the end of the cable to measure the voltage under load with a meter.

Port 11 is the where the Tik gets powered. ~2.5W load.
Cable length is 1 feet.

Well from what your showing me I would say the MT reading is incorrect as Port 11 is only drawing 2.2 watts.
So my bet is MT is WRONG?
But you NEED to upgrade that firmware sometime soon.

No the Netonix readings are fairly accurate, obviously since we do not calibrate the sensors there is a +/- variance but less than 1V.
We are considering adding a calibration routine at some point in the future especially for the DC input value on DSC switches.

Bad Tik reading was my first bet... But on 4 different routers (and 4 different Netonix switches, at 4 different sites)?
All draw the same ~2.5W and all are fed with a 1 feet long cable...
Okay -+1v inaccuracy on the Netonix and -+1v inaccuracy on the Tik - still does not account for ~5v difference...
At some point we'll get to measure the real voltage (calls for downtime, and a truck-roll), and I'll report back...
For now I'll just have our NMS ignore this...

I do not see why you need down time if your careful.
All ports on the 12 port switch are fed from the same 24V power supply on the board so simply cut the end off a small jumper and strip the brown wire and the blue wire and make sure no wires touch and simply plug cable into an empty port and turn 24V on for that port and measure with a meter. - SIMPLE

I've been getting bad Mikrotik voltage readings on their RB750UP and all models supporting POE Input since the dawn of time. I've also tested POE output Voltages on mikrotik devices and there is a -1,5V difference between Input and Output Voltages. That's no good, specially on solar powered sites.
Really netonix saved my a** when they introduced their DC models.
