WHat version of firmware?

Also after you change the IP you need login with before the revert time limit expires or it reverts to previous config.

The revert timer is a safety net so if you make a change on a switch at a remote tower and lose control and fail to login within the revert time limit it reverts to old config.

Thank you

1.4.8rc5

Frustrating as the switch just arrive this evening

Yes, I became aware of the 60 second time line. I looked I the log file and it shows it changed to the new IP however I am not able to log into it. I then restore it and repeat the process again; I have repeated the process at least 6 times.

Try adding an IP address on the correct subnet to your lan adapter, say 192.168.2.255?

I did numerous times as you described numerous times.

In any case; with the time to revert set to 300 seconds; it used to be 60 seconds prior to the firmware update Iset it to DHCP .... located it my .2.0 IP pool and will now changed it to static with the desired IP with no issues.

I appreciate your being there to assist.

Takes care.

I have another quick question;

It is being powered by a Ubiquity POE injector into port 1; do I need to do any configuration on port 1or is it auto sensing with gigabit traffic supported? This the leaves the remaining 5 ports as unpowered gigabit ports until I power them as needed; correct?

Lastly; are there any setting that I should consider making to the switch before putting it into service?

Thank you again

Why is the MTU unable to be adjust to 1428; 1428 is LTE MTU.

Do not set your MTU to 1428 as this is INSANE?

Please leave your MTU at the default 1528 or you will have all kinds of problems.

The standard set by IEEE802.3 specifies the MTU of Ethernet is 1500 bytes however you want the switch set to 1528 incase you want to pass VLANs or other types of encapsulated traffic.
YOU WOULD NEVER SET YOUR MTU BELOW 1500 BUT EVEN 1500 IS TO SMALL FOR MOST BASIC NETWORKS BECAUSE OF VLANs AND OTHER TYPES OF ENCAPSULATED TRAFFIC.
