TX / RX Limit - Bug or misunderstanding?

Fri Dec 12, 2014 9:45 pm

Whenever I type a value into the TX and RX limit fields for a switch port, the box turns red and then I get an error "Invalid Fields". What's up with that?

You are NOT following the instruction provided on the UI Matt? :headb:

As you can CLEARLY see in the mouse over it shows you EXAMPLES. (see image below) :rofl4:

Since the field can clearly support speed or packet limiting it needs to know what you want. (see image below)

Well that did it.... thanks... apparently in my haste to configure while standing in the cold I clicked in the box and didn't hover long enough :) I thought that hover thing was fixed ages ago.

It is a limitation of the switch core not our UI, it's one or the other.

Maybe in the future we will build a higher end switch based on a more expensive core, possibly Layer 4 that allows more ability.

But first we NEED to sell these, a LOT more of "these" to raise capital to build the MINI and DC versions of these.
