Hi All,
I have a Mikrotik CCR1009 plugged into a WS-12-250-DC. A WS-6-Mini is plugged into the WS-12-250-DC. There are 2 vlans (plus management) passed through from the WS-12-250-DC to the mini. There are ~10 vlans configured on the WS-12-250-DC and those are passed through to the mikrotik.
There is a Mimosa B11 plugged into to ether2 (48VH) and an AF5x(24V) plugged into ether3 of the mini. The radios are assigned to different vlans. Ether 6 of the mini is on the management vlan. When I power on the AF5x interface, traffic passes through the AF5x radio link. When I power on the B11, traffic stops flowing through the AF5x link. The AF5x does not power off (I can log in from the remote side of the link). When I power the B11 off, the AF5x link starts passing traffic again.
I have setup watch dog IPs on the AF5x vlan and I can ping the IP address on the VLAN on the mini and the WS-12-250-DC, but cannot ping the router from the AF5x itself. Again, when I turn off the B11, the AF5x link starts passing traffic.
I have replaced the mini and still saw the same symptoms.
WS-12-250-DC:
Firmware: 1.4.7, board ver D
WS-6-Mini
Firmware: 1.4.7, board ver E
Anybody see similar symptoms before? Thanks in advance!

You do realize you should power AFX radios with 24VH, 48VH, or 48V over 24V

Please Post up screen grabs of the config Tabs of both switches and a diagram

If he is powering the WS-6-MINI with 48VH from the WS-12 yea no problem, the 48VH from the WS-12 is 1.5A at 50V so 75W constant draw with spikes to near 100W
But I would power the AFX with 48V instead of 24V

Chris,
Do you think that the 24V vs 48V could be causing this issue?
Thanks!

No this is not your cause, it is simply a suggested better method to power the AFX radio (more efficient)
Your issue is with RSTP and VLANs, RSTP is clearly seeing a loop and setting the port to Discarding.
Watch the WS-6 MINI STP TAB as
I would upgrade to v1.4.8rc7 as I think there was some fix with VLANs but I also do not think that is your issue.
All the bugs reported since v1.4.7 are fixed in v1.4.8rc7

Re: odd behavior vlans wisp switch mini
Hi Chris,
I just had a chance to upgrade to 1.4.8rc7 this morning and I still see the problem.
Thanks,
John
