Using that version. Not sure if im doing something wrong, but all multicast is going out multiple ports with snooping turned off as it should. But i cant get streams to pass at all with it on.

Server > netonix > vpls tunnel > local tplink switch with snooping on > stb.

I have another stb on a second port of the netonix. If i have both stb on, i see enough data for 2 streams over both ports.

Am i missing something?

What i think is needed is the igmp querier feature in the netonix for snooping to work properly.

In our particular use case, we don't have a querier on our network. Some switches like Cisco, HP, Planet, and others have the feature built in for that purpose it seems.

I think I already found it eric. I searched around and it's under the vlan IP area. So, it looks like you already have it in some form. I'll keep working with it thanks.

vlan.png
Just a follow up, and if need be we can move to a new thread.

I have added an IPTV vlan on my network. all works as it should other than snooping.

I have enabled igmp query on the vlan for IPTV on my network. I added an IP within the subnet that this vlan is working in. With snooping turned on, on the first netonix that our MC server is on, No data flows. If I turn of snooping, it works as you would think. I'm not as versed as others with wireshark, or things like that. I just know what works fine before snooping, does not work after I turn it on.

I have a cheap switch on the way that has query built in. I plan to add it inline between my IPTV server and the Netonix, turn off query on the netonix, and see if snooping works like it should after that. Next step is to pull the netonix and start to build without them if need be. I'm hoping I'm just doing something wrong. But, if it works correctly otherwise, I have to assume something with the netonix is causing the issue for us here is a screen shot for reference of our vlans. Maybe something wrong there, as I am piss poor with vlans to be honest.

Port 12 is the server, 8 is another test unit for streaming local from the switch, 3 is an uplink to a router feeding our network. 8 and 12 work fine with snooping on. It's 12 to 3 that don't work. And maybe that is because of the vlan and different domains there is why the whole thing doesn't work.... I tried to add a quary to vlan 1 and 89, but the switch kept telling me the config had changed and made me reload. That error never went away until I removed the quarier from vlan1.

This switch is used as a dual internal and external network switch. Some some ports have public IP's and some are Private. sitting on both sides of our core router at this location. (it saves rack space)

This is on a core router for our network.
Can you tell me what was changed, and/or release notes...
