24V is out of Range, WS-8-150-AC, 1.4.8rc5, Board Rev F

[ITSystem]

We have a switch that is reporting loads of "24V is out of range" and also many STP changes on one 24V radio, so I assume that link may also have some disruption.
Port 6 is powering one "Rocket 5AC PTMP". The other PoE on this switch is; Port 4: "UniFi AC Pro 48V", Port:7 "Rocket 5AC PTP 24V" - but they don't report any problem from what I've seen.

If it is of any relevance, then I can say that this switch has replaced RMA#: 1072

The 24V out of range would not be causing your STP issue unless the radios are rebooting which Mike asked you to check.

Whatever is on Port 6 is flapping for some reason.

You repaired another switch. This switch is the one that I replaces the failing one with some months ago, I now have the repaired one on my desk but I have not opened the ESD bag yet - so that's another story

The Rocket on port 6 report uptime to be 83+ days

I also checked the MAC table on the switch to verify that the Rocket's MAC is found on port 6, so I'm pretty sure it's connected there and not on another port.

So your next question will be if I have restarted the Rocket and what firmware it is running. Good point there, I'll restart it and upgrade it right away!

Make sur STP is disable on the bridge of the rocket. Unless exception, STP shouln't be enable on radio.

STP is (as default) off on the Rocket and all stations. However, there are something like 3 ToughSwitch 5-port after this link. Those are all running v 1.3.5 and have STP enabled. All TS5 are connected to one of the 4 stations and none have any other interconnection with each other.

Port 7 is connected to a Rocket AC PTP, which eventually connects to a total of 4 ToughSwitch 5-port with STP enabled, but port 7 doesn't report any STP changes and have transmitted about twice the amount of data as port 6 - so it's well used.

I'm not sure if it's of any kind of relevance, but I did notice that port 7 had chosen Flow Control (auto) enabled but port 6 had it (auto) disabled. I upgraded the firmware on the port 7 Rocket PTP but it's still the same.

This is the log since I've upgraded the Rocket AC PTMP on port 6, and it's 4 NanoBeam stations, to XC.v8.3.2.

I checked the Rocket PTMP settings and it had flow control off - for some strange reason. I've now enabled it and the switch set it to (auto) on/both. I don't think that should make any difference to the STP problem, but who knows...

The 24V is still a problem, although there are sufficient voltage for all units.

This unit also appears to have the defective 3.3V CAP which affects the 24V readings, or it is damaged.

Either way you need to swap this unit with the one we repaired and sent back to you and RMA this unit.
