I was changing the management VLAN and management IP of a Netonix switch.
I changed the VLAN then went to the system tab and changed the IP address. Hit Save/Apply. For whatever reason the switch did not come up accessible on the new VLAN. The system also never rolled back to the previous working configuration. Best as I can tell it rolled-back the IP but not the VLAN or visa versa. I'm still trying to figure out what happened.

Right now I'm showing the Netonix on VLAN 1 but without an IP address when I do a MAC Snoop.

Have no idea what your VLAN TAB looked like before the change?

Moved VLAN 57 to the management VLAN. Renamed 57 to 579 to get it out of the way. Changed IP. Hit save.
Doesn't matter what they looked like. The roll back didn't happen.

So you're saying the "TOP" VLAN in the list which is always the management VLAN and is the only VLAN that can access the switch in the list was 57 and you changed that VLAN to 579?
I take it the TOP VLAN had a "T" on the port that gets to the switch? I am also assuming you changed the VLAN on the upstream devices.
What version of firmware were you using, if you're using an older version and I test the latest version which is what I will test and do not see this then what? There is a lot of missing information on my side to be able to help.
Matt, you know your network, what you're describing makes perfect sense to "you", I have not seen your config, I do not know your network, having a screenshot of your VLAN TAB really helps me wrap my mind around what you're doing. Also knowing what version you were using, what your reveret timer was set to, and how fast you were able to change other equipment so you could log back into the switch to secure the changes.
Do you know how many people each week do something and the desired results are not what they want then they provide me with the most generic basic description and expect me to provide an accurate account of what went wrong?
Also I have no idea if you previously may have disabled the revert function on the Device/Configuration TAB by setting the timeout to "0" which disables it.
Also depending on what you had the revert timer set to can make a difference. For instance if the revert timer is set to 60 second you only have 60 seconds to log back into the switch or the revert occurs. What was the revert timer set to?
