OK and here is what I suggestd:

1) Try disabling Flow Control on all ports just to verify this is not a packet lock.

2) Swap the unit out as it might be a bad/defective unit possibly the defective 3V CAP issue?

If swapping the unit out fixes the problem then you know the unit is defective or damaged.

Since there are over 10,000 WS-6-MINI units out there and the units are designed to operate easily in this temperature range it is not a heat issue unless a component on the board is bad/defective. A couple units having the same issue does not indicate a design flaw or systemic problem if 10,000 units are working fine?

But so far you have refused to post up the requested screen grabs of the TABs.

As Far as I know you have not indicated you disabled Flow Control as I requested and the issue still happens.

I want to help you Matt but you're not helping me help you.

I haven't refused.. the issue hasn't happened again - we went from 90* days to 60* days and I had to build a sun shade to stop customers from dropping off the network. Unfortunately it's just too dangerous to customer good will to go back and remove the sun shade to see if the issue happens again.

I'm glad this is not a wide spread issue.

What POE option were you using for the AF5X radio? Hopefully 48VH or 48V and not 24V?

Since there is a known UBNT Flow Control issue with AF, AFX, and airMAX AC radios you need to make sure you are using the latest firmware with Flow Control Pause Frame Storm protect enable which is on the Device/Configuration TAB.

If the problem still persists try disable Flow Control on the ports and see what happens as this could be a packet lock from Flow Control Pause Frame Storms.

Lastly it could be a defect 3.3V CAP in which case you need to RMA the unit.

Hi, The datasheet looks like it should be 24V...

We are running 1.4.7.

I can disable Flow Control. But shouldn't this be done automatically?

Please read this post: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1215#p9040
The AFX radios can use 24V / 24VH /48V / 48VH but using 48V or 48VH is perferred

So all the bugs reported since the release of v1.4.7 have been fixed in v1.4.8rc11 so why would you not want to use the firmware that has all the bugs fixed?

Yes if Pause Frame Storm protection is enabled it "should" detect a Pause Frame Storm and Disable FC on that port but if you experience a switch that appear to be locked up it can be a packet lock caused by a Pause Frame Storm, in that case the first thing one does to determine this is disable Flow Control on all ports and see if the issue stops. Pause Frame Storm Protection is configured on the Device/Configuration TAB
