Happened twice today, at two different locations:
Switch #1: WS-12-250-DC firmware 1.4.8rc6 Board Rev D, PS firmware 53, PS board Rev A
Switch #2: WS-12-250-DC firmware 1.4.8rc10 Board Rev F, PS firmware 53, PS board Rev B
At calibration, upon entering the measured voltage, the switches rebooted!
To add to the confusion, switch #1, when rebooted, kept the POE-output powered on - so no radios rebooted.
However, switch #2, upon reboot, switched off ALL outputs, and got everything to reboot!
Sad day!
Yahel.
PS - We have done calibration to many other switches without a problem before.
DC switches reboot upon voltage calibration!

Re: DC switches reboot upon voltage calibration!
My bad - I copied the info about boards from a wrong switch...
Both switches have the same board revision F, and the same PS board revision B (and same PS firmware 53).
One has firmware 1.4.8.rc6 and the other 1.4.8rc10 - as I indicated above.
Thanks,
Yahel.

Re: DC switches reboot upon voltage calibration!
Yahel- have tested this feature extensively and not seen this behavior. Few questions:
Were you using the GUI or commandline?
Was it an immediate reboot, or was there a minute or so delay?
Can you drop to command line and run:
cmd
cat ../tmp/config/dc_multiplier
and get back to me with the output?
I recommend upgrading these two to 1.4.8 as a matter of course - will upgrade PS firmware from 53 to 58
Thanks,
Julian

Re: DC switches reboot upon voltage calibration!
We'll try to upgrade tonight.
There was a delay - if I had to guess, it was much shorter than a minute.
In other switches, where this reboot DIDN'T happen - the log reads "warm start" when we do the calibration.
Here's output from one switch:
admin@PALH-Netonix:/www# cat ../tmp/config/dc_multiplier
1.005
admin@PALH-Netonix:/www#
Here's the other:
admin@Bean_Netonix_(solar_12P):/www# cat ../tmp/config/dc_multiplier
0.995
admin@Bean_Netonix_(solar_12P):/www#
Thanks,
Yahel.

Re: DC switches reboot upon voltage calibration!
Have to confirm with Eric, but 'warm boot' populated in logfile is expected behavior as far as I'm aware.
Cutting PoE is not expected behavior - Do advise on results where firmware is upgraded to 1.4.8 final prior to calibration, please. Have so far been unable to duplicate in a controlled environment, will continue testing.
Thanks!

Re: DC switches reboot upon voltage calibration!
We've done a few more calibrations that went well.
Both to 1.4.8 and previous firmwares -- I know it's not helpful to you, but nothing more I can contribute....
Just hoping it would continue that way, and where possible we'll upgrade prior to calibration..
Thanks,
Yahel.
