Hi,
We have two AC-8-150s that we've been having strange issues with at one single site. How do we find out if these switches are in this 100 to 200 defective units?

We do not know the exact 100-200 units. What we know is that a whole production batch was manufactured with DIODES that may or may not cause a failure. We estimated a percentage of failures based on testing and RMAs which would put the number at between 100-200 units as potential failures.
Step 1 Explain what strange issue is, not all issues are related to this problem.
Step 2 Provide the MAC addresses of the units in question and we can see if they are even in the suspect batch.
Support is handled on the Forums not in Emails and PMs.

Hello,
we have three units (WS-8-150-AC)in production which show the following behavior:
1.) some LAN Ports do not correctly negotiate to 1000 Mbit/s but they should.
2.) Powerbeams on various ports just reboot every now and then (sometimes every day, sometimes every two days)
(in the log of the powerbeam I see an unexpected reboot maybe caused by a power loss)
Mac Adresses of the units are: ec:13:b2:d1:59:08, ec:13:b2:d1:58:58 and ec:13:b2:d1:58:30
Can you check if these could be affected ?
What can we do ?
Can we replace the diodes if you tell me which ? (I am aware that I am loosing warranty) but I do not want to send 3 devices back to the US from europe.

seitzalx - our switch ports generally negotiate at higher rates when other physical interfaces won't, in my experience. I don't think the 3.3v problem is your issue.
Does the switch log or network monitoring software show the switch rebooting at all?

Hi,
no, the switch is not rebooting.
Bridges connected to the switch seem to loose power and reboot.
I have several (20+) WS-12-250-AC and never seen bridges rebooting on these.

If it's the 3.3v issue, the whole switch will reboot; so we can rule that out. Out of curiosity, any ping watchdogs on your powerbeams?
Screen captures of your ports, power, and log tabs would be helpful for further troubleshooting

I've had the switch RMA, and got it back. It worked without problems until today.
I replaced 2 Unifi AP Outdoor with 2 Unifi AP AC Lite (going from 100Mb to Gigabit connection), and it locked up.
A reboot brought it back online for a short moment, but it didn't help much...
Can this be the same problem (again)?
I will now go to the switch, and replace the Unifi AP AC Lite with the Unifi AP Outdoor, to check if it helps.

Here is how you bench test a switch and there is a test in there to check for the 3.3V CAP issue

I replaced the Unifi AP AC Lite with the original Unifi AP Outdoor (going from 1000 back to 100), and it is working without problems again.
I will replace the switch next week with a spare WS-10-250-AC, and bench test it at the office.
Is it possible the same problem is happening again to this switch? (I checked the MAC, and it is the same switch that has been RMA'ed)
