It does, but our software layer does not. To do stacking we would need to buy the enterprise version of the software from the switch core vendor, which is quite a bit more expensive.

That's interesting... I would be very interested to hear about what the possible cost implications are. Perhaps you could put out some sort of feeler to see if others would use the feature and what sort of cost premium they would be willing to pay for it.

You're talking about BIG money - like six figures for that Enterprise software plus annual maintenance fees.
So currently we are selling about 20,000 switches annually so you can see how this would greatly affect the price.
