PoE Budget Problem and Switch Reboot

Good Morning
I met some problem with PoE with WS-12-250-DC Switches.... with 48V 802.3af Cameras...
First of all, we are using 24VDC UPS Tycon Power and WS-12-250-DC is power supplied by this UPS with 24Vdc. We are using both SFP Module on a loop and passive 24Vdc for UBNT Airmax Powerbridge and several ports with 48Vdc 802.3af IP Cameras from HIKVision… When we cross 3 IP Cameras the Switch reboot by himself… it look alike the Switch is not able to support more than 3 x 48Vdc 802.3af IPCamera… but the PoE Budget of this Switch is 250W??? so what happened? What do you think about?
We have more than 17 units on this case?

You provided very little information other than your powering a SMART DC switch with a power supply and not hooking it directly to a battery bank which it is designed for.

Question Can you power a SMART DC switch with a power supply?

Answer: Yes but it must be of sufficient size.

If you are going to power the switch with a power supply then get a 48V to 54V power supply and use the WS-12-DC or WS-26-DC which does not have a power supply and relies on an external power supply.

Your power supply needs to be 48V-54V of at LEAST 200 watts preferred 300 watts to handle inrush demand during startup of the WS-8-150-DC.

Your power supply needs to be 48V-54V of at LEAST 300 watts preferred 500 watts to handle inrush demand during startup of the WS-12-250-DC.

Your power supply needs to be 48V-54V of at LEAST 600 watts preferred 700 watts to handle inrush demand during startup of the WS-26-500-DC.

What firmware version are you running. SMART DC units NEED to be running v1.4.8 as there was a bug in the code for them *see release notes*

Besides you provided very little information on your power supply, what model is it?

How many watts does it provide?

Firmware Release of the Eighteen WS-12-250-DC and WS-24-400-DC is "1.4.7" so i understood that we have to update to 1.4.8
When i mentionned "POWER SUPPLY" this is Outdoor UPS, Interruptible Power Supply from TYCON POWER "UPS-ST24-50":
- 24VDC 50Ah Gel/AGM Battery, 24VDC 120W Regulated Output, 120/240VAC Input, 1200VA Capacity, Steel Enclosure.
We have on each Switches "WS-12-250-DC":
2 x Monomode SFP Modules
1 x Ubiquiti PowerBridge Radio 24 Passive Vdc
Between 2 and 10 802.3af 48V IPCameras from HIKVISION

So you're powering a 250+ watt WS-12-250-DC SMART power supply with a less than 210 watt power supply?

We designed our SMART DC switches to hook directly to the battery bank where there is plenty of AMPS then charge the battery bank with a separate charger. This allows you to discharge the batteries as low as you want in an emergency.

If you're going to use a system like this buy the Tycon TP-BC48-300 and the Netonix WS-12-DC which is designed to hook to a power supply not batteries.
