Hi, everybody, this is my firs post.
I am using "WS-24-400B" with firmware 1.4.0.
My Network:
I i am using 12 ports, each one with a Ubiquiti Rocket M5. Each port is a VLAN, and then in my Mikrotik i put each VLAN in a Bridge with "Horizon 1" for make isolation.
The Problem:
In other server i am testing UNMS and when i want to discover devices, i need to use the "Discovery Manager Tool", i scan my network in all my blocks /24 but sometimes when i press start button all my PPPoE clients disconected instantly and the finally Netonix stop answering.
I need to go to the place where the netonix is and cut off the power suply to reestablish my network.
What i could do to fix this issue?
Thanks
Regards
Nicolas.

Re: Netonix goes down with a "Discovery Device" Scan.
Hi sirhc, fortunerly i have 2 devices, because i upgrade, then i upload the backup file and then i changed the wires form one swicth to the other. It was very strange, because i only had traffic in 3 ports (rockets), the other ports never start to traffic. In the Log sayd something like the negotiation, it seemed like in some ports went down to 10 mb. I tryed to save the config and reboot but the dashboard never come back.
I decided to return to my old netonix switch with firmware 1.4.0.
Other Notes: The ping to the switch never stop answering, and the VLANS were with the "R" of routing (in my Mikrotik Router Interfaces).
If you want i could send you my backup file to reproduce it in Lab.
Thanks.
Regards

Re: Netonix goes down with a "Discovery Device" Scan.
You're upgrading from very old firmware. I would not use a config backup from v1.4.0 to v1.4.8, factory default it and set back up to be safe.
Also such a big jump in firmware can have issues with cached files in your browser's, after upgrade flush your browser cache close window then reopen browser to switch.

i do it like you say, i have reseted to factory and then uploaded the backup. But it sounds good (like you said) that the problem could be the old backup, i should try with manual setup, shouldn't i?

Yes please upgrade, factory default, manual setup.
After upgrade flush browser cache and close reopen browser. A lot of UI files are cached in browser and this is a major upgrade from v1.4.0 to v1.4.8

Please describe your network.
Is it a LARGE flat network?
How many devices on this Layer 2 segment?
