IntL-Daniel wrote:There is some issue with QOS in 1.4.9. Since upgrade to 1.4.9 twenty four hours ago (5 switches in our network) many customers started to complain about not possibility to watch online videos...that sound is not synchronized with video. When I disabled all QOS rules in all switches, the problem was 100% solved. Other 100% solution is downgrade to 1.4.8 and keep all QOS rules active as before. So we stay on 1.4.8 ...
Example of our QOS tab is here:
I'll be on vacation until the 30th, but I can look into it further when I get back.

Request for the ability to use a .network TLD (ntp.xxxx.network) for the NTP, syslog, and SMTP host.
I can't make sense of the field validation.. it doesn't seem to be length related, nor simply checking against a list of known TLDs. (.networ without the k is accepted, but with the k isn't)
Cheers

Re: v1.4.9 Bug reports and Comments
Just been called in out of hours to a switch on 1.4.9 which wasn't passing traffic to the uplink. All lights flashing merrily etc. so had to do power-cycle to see if it would make any difference, and it did; back up and running again, but it makes me wonder, what's the best way of trouble-shooting this if it happens again? Logs are gone, so what's there to investigate. Is the solution to leave a laptop plugged in to the console port?

Chances are the unit had a Flow Control packet lock due to a bug UBNT firmware.

So after reading the above posts next time it happens use console cable to verify switch is not locked up but possibly packet locked
After you use console cable and see switch is OK then remove 1 cable at a time, count to 5 then re-insert cable and check traffic
When you find the port that has the Pause Frame jame all the buffer memory will drop and packets will start to flow again.

Re: v1.4.9 Bug reports and Comments
Thanks, that's interesting and long discussion about flow-control and mention of the AirMax products, which we don't have on this switch, but we do have Unifi APs so is that going to be the same issue? If I'm reading this right perhaps it would be safer for us to switch FC off on all ports?

Flow Control helps performance most times but can be a detriment sometimes.
I do not know if UniFi has the FC issue?
I would first determine if it is a FC issue and if it is then figure out why and adjust accordingly.
What model switch is this, and what is the MAC address?
If it is a lockup of the switch you could have a defective unit?
Here are the known hardware issues.

UniFi switches have flow control but not their APs. You can see on the Status tab, that devices with flow control show a double arrow.
