Hey All,
We just recently started dropping these switches into production and for the past few months each site seems to be rebooting at random intervals. After some poking around, the only common theme I see is that they are all WS-26-500-DC's. All our sites use a Netonix switch and the rest don't appear to be having this problem.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any setting I may be doing incorrectly on these?
Thank you!
edit: we are using 1.4.9 firmware on all sites

How are you powering the units?
Are they hooked directly to the battery bank or are you powering it with a power supply?
Define how you are powering it.

We are plugged directly into a battery with a breaker

Odd
I wish I could be there to help you debug it.
If you like you can RMA one and we will fully check it out, if we find something we will fix it and send it right back and see if it stops?

Are there any steps you might recommend to take? I'm ready to blame us since we have 3 of them doing it at different sites
If not, we can do an RMA on the main one.

I would RMA 1 of them and we will test the shit out of it and see what we find.
I will move it to the front of the line for you and turn it around quickly

Re: WS-26-500-DC switches rebooting randomly?
So we just deployed another one in our office, and it looks like it's been nearly rebooting nightly, we have a LAG going to another 26 port on the roof and it's not rebooted in 9 days, since we deployed it... Both are 1.4.9, should I just RMA the office one that's nearly rebooting nightly
We also just noticed the one that is in production and not rebooting (26 days uptime atm) is running Firmware Version 1.4.7rc20

1.4.7rc20
Not sure what you meant by ending the post with Firmware Version 1.4.7rc20 as you say they are both v.1.4.9
If it is indeed v1.4.9 and rebooting yes please RMA, else upgrade to v1.4.9 and make sure still happening.

Sorry that was a formatting goof, we have 6 in production and 5 are rebooting, the one that is not rebooting is on the older firmware - just wanted to see if this was relevant or not. We will still RMA the one thats giving us the most headaches
