Web UI login stuck in loop

Fri May 18, 2018 2:13 pm

Trying to log into a WS-12-250-DC the login page loads, but after presenting credentials, the following page will start to load, but never finish. I only get a blank white page, and the page refreshes itself every 10 seconds or so for as long as I leave it open. I've tried restarting the http server via SSH as well as power cycling the device, but there is no change. The issue occurs on both HTTP and HTTPS as well as on multiple browsers and computers. Attempting to login with incorrect credentials, the page will provide the expected incorrect username/password error.

Is there anything I can try to get the web interface to load properly?

Try a differnt browser and or computer
Reboot the switch
If that fails factory default the switch using the power on factory default by holding in the default button while powering up

Your running a 1 year+ old firmware that has security holes, hope this switch is not accessible to the web? - UPGRADE to v1.5.0

You can also check the config in the CLI to make sure the web service is running.

How can I see if there is a loop from the CLI?
Will be possible to upgrade the SW from CLI?
Thank you

The CLI/Console provides in line help

Simply press ? and then [Enter] for a list of commands available at that point

Yes you can do a firmware upgrade via CLI with an FTP sever/service
