WS-12-250B Fan - one reported, both replaced and spinning

Mon Jun 18, 2018 3:07 pm

I have one of the larger chassis WS-12-250B. We experienced an overheating issue, we replaced it with a spare identical model. When back on the shop bench, we replaced both fans inside.

I factory reset the 250B after replacing the fans. All ports appear to be working fine and both fans are spinning.

In the device log it says this:
Code: Select all

Dec 31 19:00:50 dropbear[1321]: Running in background
Dec 31 19:00:52 switch[1359]: Detected warm boot
Dec 31 19:01:02 switch[1340]: Warning: expected 2 fans but found 1
Dec 31 19:07:18 switch[1340]: Fan 2 is now working

Both fans are blowing.

status page shows this:

Is this something that means I should send it in for replacement or something to not worry about?

My guess is the board is damaged or failed?

Its an older unit so not sure I would repair it if I was you but your call.

We do not have replacement boards for that unit anymore as it has been EOL for almost 3 years.
