The problem child is a ws-12-250-dc was running 1.4.9. Upon upgrade the switch went as normal but never came back up after. Upon arriving on site I found the switch to have no lights except a few green lights internally on what appear to be on the power supply board. Removing DC from the terminals for a few seconds and reconnecting brought the switch back to life.

The status page shows:

Firmware Version 1.5.0
Board Rev F
Power Supply Firmware Version 70
Power Supply Board Rev B
I'm curious to know if there was a PS Firmware change here too and if it should be running 70?

Yes there was a power supply firmware/APP upgrade when going from v1.4.9 to v1.5.0

MSTP is still non foncitonnal . The only thing right in an instance is the root election. Blocked port shown in insance is same as CIST even if instance root is not same as in CIST. Playing with priority just make thing worst. Switchs GUI was showing several ports blocked in the instance. Not sure if cosmetic or a true bug but UI and CLI show the same behavior.

ERPS not tested but, from what I know, nothing was change so, the know bugs should be:
- Blocked access to management if management vlan is part of ERPS
- Need to add remote MEP since MEP currently monitor remote switch and ERPS will go in learning mode on any event on remote switch like plugin / unpluging a port eveb if not part of ERPS ring.

I pretty sure the're was something else wrong with ERPS but can't remember. Those two are the worst one.

We had an issue with the switch locking up fans are running on high, do a physical power cycle, problem goes away, tried upgrading firmware, does the upgrade but the switch reboots and locks up, then physically power cycle and plug in and it works fine. Anyone else have issues like this? We have another switch in the same box that is running 1.4.8 and running fine.

I would remove the switch from service (swap with spare)
Do a power on factory defaults as described here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=409#p2398
Bring back to office and bench test as described here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2780#p19221

Let us know your results.

I am running v1.5.0 on all my switches just fine.

Since if I understand you correctly the problem persisted BEFORE you upgraded so not sure why you posted this in the v1.5.0 comments and bugs thread?

I posted because I was curious if anyone else had similar issues with the upgrade reboot issue.

Are we not able to see individual port power draw or am I missing something?

Thanks,

Any news about MSTP and ERPS? It's not marked as experimental anymore in 1.5.0 firmware....

ERP and MSTP are still not correct in v1.5.0

However good news is we have EPR and MSTP finished (we think - in testing) in the next release which should be v1.5.1rc2

Since we have down time right now for programers since we are waiting on NEW engineering samples for the WS2 and WS3 boards, hopefully to finish them off

So, Stephen finished ERP and Eric finished MSTP
