Netonix Manager / Control Software

Just found the existence of Netonix-Manager. Took a while to get 1.0.10 installed and running, partly because it's only binding to the IPv6 address of my Debian 9 VM. IPv6 URLs are strange, resulting in my mistyping it and thinking the server wasn't running. I would like to get it to bind to an IPv4 address to make it easier to address, but I don't know enough about how node.js apps are configured to know where to start looking.

Manager doesn't bind to a particular interface or address, which means you should be able to access it on any working interface.

The temperature column displayed, is that the devices ambient temperature or the board temperature? If its the board temperature what is a safe temperature for the WS-6-Mini?

Considering we do not have an external (outside the chassis) sensor to read ambient temperature I would bet board temp. You could easily confirm this by simply comparing the Manager reported temp to the temps reported on the switch Device/Status TAB

Then you could use the Search feature on the forums to find these posts and more on rated temps:

We are using AirControl for most monitoring functions and just looking for a Windows based application to monitor the Netonix units. Do you see a roadmap for the Netonix manager to ever display a voltage column?

Stephen will be taking over Manager after he finishes up WS and WS2 firmware so say September.

At that time I plan to work with Stephen to add creature features.

I'm getting the same result you are, only a TCP6 entry with IPv6 notation. But ignoring that and using IPv4 anyway, I do get the login.... Go figure....

Just installed this software on a new server. Added the first Netonix switch and am seeing it go off/on/off. Running 1.4.9 flow control off, link to towers is licensed, no missing pings.

changed state to offline:Error: ESOCKETTIMEDOUT
changed state to online

Would it be possible for the next version to allow more leeway?

I would upgrade to v1.5.0

You have no other copy of the manager running? You can not have 2 managers monitoring the same switches.
