Hi we have a rural property where we're trying to put wireless internet in. The WISP came out and told us we can only get the signal at one high point on the property. So we're going to catch it there and relay it down to the house via another wireless hop. The "catch and throw" station is going to be a tower/box on a hill with a solar panel + battery to power. In the box will be a POE switch that runs their data equipment and bridges between the "catch" and the "throw".
WISP recommended the Tycon Solar TP-SC24-20-MPPT w/ lead acid batteries and a ws-8-150-dc to run the devices. They insuated these would just hook up and work... and so far we have not been able to power the ws-8-150-dc. The Tycon does 12v or 24v out... either should work fine with the switch right? BUT we have the ws-8-150-dc wired now to the load +/- on the Tycon. I see a lot of recs on the forum here to wire it "direct to battery". I'm wondering if anyone has a done this with the Tycon Solar and what that exact wiring diagram would look like?
I'm new to wireless internet and a little peeved at the WISP for not offering more guidance, this was their recommended stack.
Tycon has fairly simple in/outs: panel +-, battery +-, and load +-.

Yes you should wire the WS-8-150-DC directly to the battery bank, with an inline fuse or breaker of course
Then hook your charger unit directly to the battery bank as well but yet separate from the switch meaning the switch does not go through the charging unit.

Thanks. The circuit breaker mentioned in that other thread is a link to an Australian site, I am in US and can't find that exact model.
Is this a good candidate?
