Hi,
We have this configuration:
Battery bank -> WS8-150-DC -> POE 48VH on long 140m cable -> WS6MINI -> POE 48VH on long 130m cable -> WS6MINI -> several 24V devices operating fine
But the last WS6MINI in the chain constantly generates log messages that 48V is out of range, due to the long cables.
Would it be possible to throttle down these messages in a new firmware version (or add option to disable them) ? They appear too frequently and swamp the log. The out of range voltage seems harmless as the switch seems to still work fine and we are only powering 24V devices, no 48V.
If we use a POE54VH adapter instead of the battery bank/WS8-150-DC the messages do not occur.
Also is there any way the WS-150-DC could output higher voltage (54VH POE) instead of 48V ?
Thanks,
Marc

Re: switch: 48V is out of range
Obviously you are having too much voltage drop over 270 meters (886 feet).
No there is no way to increase the output voltage of 48VH which is currently 50V

Re: switch: 48V is out of range
Could the messages be throttled down in a new firmware version (or an option provided to reduce/disable them) ?
The situation seems harmless as we are only powering 24V devices from the switch which appears to operate fine.

Re: switch: 48V is out of range
a fix for the excessive messages would be appreciated because things are otherwise working fine.
