I upgraded a WS-24-400B switch from firmware 1.1 to 1.5.0. Now when I try logging in to the web GUI, it tells me "Invalid username or password". Default logins like admin/admin and netonix/netonix produce the same result. Occasionally I see it say "60 seconds before you can login" and start counting down, probably because I'm trying too many wrong passwords.
I can still log in to the switch over SSH but I am not familiar with the Netonix command line. What can I do from the command line to restore access to the web GUI?
I don't have easy physical access to the switch; it's about two hours away on a mountain.
After upgrade can't login web only ssh

Re: After upgrade can't login web only ssh
v1.1.0 - Released 3/2/2015 <- WOW super old firmware
There were several changes and bug fixes with the passwords and usernames since then.
Easiest thing to do is use a console cable then change the user name and password.
Other option would be to factory default it and set it back up.
However read the first link below and try what is explained there. You "might" be able to gain access via SSH?
This is an old issue but I did a search for password and found these posts an more:

Its always good idea to read the release notes before upgrading especially from 4+ year old firmware.
v1.1.5
- Fixed problem with password after upgrading from 1.0.10
v1.1.6
- Fixed problem changing password where you sometimes had to change the password TWICE sometimes for it to take.
v1.3.5
- Fixed login problem when changing credentials name without also changing password

Re: After upgrade can't login web only ssh
I changed the password as you suggested and that fixed the issue; I can get into the web GUI again. I didn't need a console cable, I was able to do it over SSH. The commands I used were "configure", "credentials password NEWPASS", "end". Thanks for the help!
