I'm testing ERPS with Netonix and Extreme switches, but can't get CFM to work between them. I use ERPS with Extreme, but if I can get interoperability with Netonix it would be a huge benefit since we are using more Netonix in other parts the network. I know it's beta, but is there a roadmap/timeline for ERPS development?
Thanks,
Bill

Re: ERPS Roadmap/Timeline
I had worked on ERPS extensively a little while ago. All of the major bugs that I am aware of have been resolved and I've been waiting to hear responses from different tester's who work with us to see what else needs to be done. Lately most of developments time has been committed to our new products coming out, the WS2/WS3 series. However, if you've run into some bugs that I can replicate I would be happy to put ERPS back on the table. No one has gotten back to us recently about any testing results.
Also it could be a configuration issue. Do me a favor and post your ERPS tab configuration's for all Netonix related switches in your ring and I'll see if I can help.

Re: ERPS Roadmap/Timeline
Still working on getting the time to simulate this in the lab with what I have.
But I am not familiar with the Extreme switch CLI so it's not immediately obvious too me.
Is there an RPL configured here? The Netonix switch definitely doesn't have one on it and from what I've looked up I don't recognize anything on the configuration's you've posted that set one up on either of the Extreme switches?
Also, if you've used ERPS before you probably already know this but be sure that STP is disabled on the east and west ports in the ring. They have a bad tendency to conflict.
One more thing, if possible, could you post the ERPS tab during an attempt at using the ring? It would be helpful to see the state information on ERPS and the MEPS on the Netonix switch.

The RPL is on another switch in the ring not listed here - port 1 on switch 3 is the RPL neighbor.

I see - thank you for that.
How many switches are in this ring?

Re: ERPS Roadmap/Timeline
Attached is a sketch of the ring - switches 1-4 are extreme, switch 5 is netonix.

Re: ERPS Roadmap/Timeline
bfowler9024,
I am going to assume that your configuration is correct and that we have a compatibility issue with the Extreme switch's for ERPS (it is the most likely scenario)
Please still provide me with the ring diagram when you can. I've ordered a few Extreme switches to continue the development effort on ERPS.
Would you be willing to do some further testing on this in the near future?
