Eric sent out test code to ubderdoem last night before he left, uberdomes initial quick report was that it seemed to be working now, hopefully he will get a chance to test more & report his findings today, and if okay, Stephen will release rc for it today.

My testing today suggests that IGMP snooping is working correctly on the test build. At this time, I have not seen a failure of any of my tests.

This is exciting. I'll report if I find any further issues, but I am very pleased at this point.

[Most switches have the ability to turn IGMP snooping on and off on a per-VLAN basis. This would be useful in the future, but not a necessity at this point.]

Thank you for your help troubleshooting this uberdome.

rc3 has been released with the fix that you tested. When you get a chance it would be best to update too it since it is an official release and not a test version.

I've started investigating adding IGMP snooping on a per-VLAN basis like you mentioned. Might be a bit longer on that but it has been added onto the list.

It appears to be working correctly (the same as the test build). Thank you very much for the work on this. I will continue to run the multicast tests to see if any issues present, but otherwise this is very exciting.

On further / extended review, it appears multicast stops working after some extended period of time. Please let me know what sort of troubleshooting steps you would like to see to help reveal the issue.

This was after several weeks of testing on v1.5.2rc4; I didn't see rc5 was released yesterday, I will update the firmware and retest.

Same deal as last time, could you provide a log file that hopefully corresponds to the timing of when it failed?
Also, about how long did it last?
