1.5.0 Lost management access

Fri Mar 22, 2019 10:55 am

1.5.0 and newer for sure has a nasty intermittent bug, where you lose HTTP access to switches after making a simple change.

WS-26-400 AC
uptime of 50 days
logged in and performed a "port bounce" on a AP

Immediately lost http access to the switch. SSH works fine.

I am going to try and reboot the switch during a maintenance period via CLI and see if that resolves it. This is the 4th time or so this has happened.

Are there any logs I can grab via CLI to forward to you guys to see if you can help track this down? Any other information you need from me?

So technically you should be on v1.5.1 but we pulled v1.5.1 as it had a bug introduced when fixing MSTP so we are telling people to use v1.5.2rc5 or newer which we are testing version now to see if we can push v1.5.2.

There have been isolated reports of web service losing config file, see here: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4630&p=28677&hilit=+cli+file#p28677

As a company we dont run beta or RC firmware... We always try to stay on final stable. Many lessons were learned the hard way lol.....

Is there a specific fix you've found that is included on 1.5.2rc5 that resolves this issue? I'll dig through the thread and see if there is a fix or workaround to restore the web UI.
