We are getting this on new switch installed and have to bounce router port to get switch to ping. All voltages and stats look good.

Re: SFP Port 26 up and down WS-26-400-IDC
Could possibly be a bad or incompatible SFP module.

Also some SFP modules work better with the port speed duplex set to Auto and some work better set to 1G (see Ports TAB)
Also the port speed duplex should match on the other side of the link (router - Auto / 1G)

Re: SFP Port 26 up and down WS-26-400-IDC
we now have same SFPs on both sides. Port 26 will not take 1G hard set?

Try a different brand SFP module:

Re: SFP Port 26 up and down WS-26-400-IDC
So far we used Mikrotik S-85DLC05D, HP J4858C and Finisar FTRJ8519P1BNL on both ends on our test bench and its doing the same thing for all modules. Is it something to do with the firmware? Because it was not doing like this before 1.5.2? We have ordered Cisco DS-SFP-FC-2G-SW to test. Do you have any other customers seeing the same type of issues?

Re: SFP Port 26 up and down WS-26-400-IDC
Currently running 1.5.2 on my local switches and I'm not seeing the issue with SFP module's installed. Can you try pinging it in the lab without the SFP module altogether to see if that makes a difference?

Re: SFP Port 26 up and down WS-26-400-IDC
Ethernet ports works fine. Never loose pings or connectivity. Tested another pair of modules - Fiberstore SFP1G-SX-85 *CO. The switch doing the same thing. We installed modules when switch was up. No lights. The switch detects module immediately though. Rebooted the switch from UI, didn't detect the link. Logged into the router, bounced the port, and the switch detects the link. We are using Mikrotik CCR series routers. We tested with CCR1036-8G-2S+, CCR1072-1G-8S+

Re: SFP Port 26 up and down WS-26-400-IDC
I just tested all modules with SFP port and not SFP+ port on the router and it works fine. Is this something that is expected? Until now we were using 1G SFP module with SFP+ interface (10G capable) on the router. When I am using 1G SFP module (Any from mentioned above) with SFP interface (1G capable), the switch immediately picks up the link and stays connected after soft reboot and power cycle.

Re: SFP Port 26 up and down WS-26-400-IDC
Could be negociation problem since port are SFP+ on both router. Have you tryed with both auto and 1G speed on port ? Have you try fixing the SFP+ port at 1G or autoneg with max speed 1G ?
