OK so i have the WS-24-400A ports 1-12 have PoE enabled for Rocket Ac Radios
Port 13 I have an Airrouter connected for home via PoE from the switch.
I was making some changes on the Airrouter so it rebooted a couple of times.
I noticed because of this it knocked off all the other PoE connections for a moment when the AirRouter rebooted (I tested on 2 x AirRouters)
I tried with a different cable in case there was a short, no short but it happend again.
Is this normal? Is there a setting in the switch that I can use to stop this.
If I power the AirRouter with its own PoE supply and not the Switch PoE would this stop the problem.
Can it be becuase of metal RJ45 connectors on the AiRrouter cable, if i use plastic would this help?
I am scared to touch the switch now so it does not affect my clients.
Firmware 1.5.2 Board Rev C
Side note I also run a cable diagnostic on every cable connected and everything came back good.
What to do?

Re: Connection disconnecting a cable knocks off PoE
I cleard the log after I updated to 1.5.3
I think the log said something like discarding and learing on all the ports when it happend.
I have just made an order for two switches, this way there is a permenat connection from the netonix switch to the new tplink switch that connectes to my PC and a connection from netonix to the new tplink switch for The AirRouter.
What I was seeing is not normal then, is there something in the new firmware that should stop this?
Thank you.

Re: Connection disconnecting a cable knocks off PoE
OK that is not turning OFF POE that is STP cycling through checking for loops.
You could verify this but looking at the POE powered device uptime.
If you do not need STP you capould disable it.
We are internally discussing this phenomenon and we are planning a developer get together in September and plan to discuss and look at this as well as several other core issues.

You can disable it per port RED Arrow or whole switch Black arrow.
