Re: SNMP issues with Observium/Dude
I take that back. Upgrading seemed to have stopped the errors, and Cacti now pulls the name and interfaces once more - but it's not displaying any througput!

Re: SNMP issues with Observium/Dude
I take that back... the errors continue:
mini_snmpd[1076]: could not handle packet from UDP client
xxxxxxx
And I can't poll for throughput.

Re: SNMP issues with Observium/Dude
Not to be a dead post bumper, but I am having this issue on most of the switches, running all different firmware versions. Was this fixed in newer firmware versions?
Don't mind the dates - the time is wrong for some reason even though the zone is set correctly - this is from today.
This particular switch is running 1.2.4, I am seeing this issue for different switches, which range up to 1.3.7 at the latest I believe. If this particular issue is fixed in 1.4 let me know and I disregard my request.
Switches are scheduled for after hours upgrades at some point in the near future.

I would upgrade all switches to v1.3.9 and make sure you're using the provided MIB
MIB Files located here: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=251
Obviously there were fixes and changes since v1.2.4 plus we do not support/investigate older firmware issues as those firmware are closed to development.
Read the release notes: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=240
I would then experiment with v1.4.1 on switches that are easy to get to and less critical then upgrade all to v1.4.1 slowly if you have no issues.

Re: SNMP issues with Observium/Dude
Sounds good. These MIBs need to have code written for them in order for them to work with the NMS, however, correct?

Eric did just upgrade the MIB files today so re-download the MIB files

I use observium - I can't simply use these files without code being written to support them, correct?

Re: SNMP issues with Observium/Dude
I'm using 1.5.5 as of this morning and still having this issue with monitoring a link/interface to a Netonix.
SNMP v1 polls correctly but does not show interfaces.
SNMP v2c does not poll correctly at all.
I am only using one version at a time on the switch.
I am also available for further testing if needed.

Re: SNMP issues with Observium/Dude
Further testing might be needed but first just a few more details might help.
Can you be more specific? What tools are you using, what OID's where you polling? etc

Re: SNMP issues with Observium/Dude
Using The Dude
v2c won't even read an SNMP walk
v1 I'm polling info correctly as you can see I'm monitoring voltage and uptime etc...
When I create a link from the AP to an interface on the Netonix it no longer allows us to see the and choose the interface so we can monitor throughput.
Until recently this was working perfectly. Now it no longer works at all on any of my switches. Same versions of the dude were tested as well as the newest version. This all stopped working somewhere along wispswitch 1.3 updates.
