I have a WS-12-50 switch that I am trying to get a Basler Camera attached. Though I have the 24v POE turned on the Cameras do not show up. I have tried the camera on another switch and they work so what am i missing?
I have checked port by plugging in another non-POE device
cable by plugging in somewhere else
camera with different switch
Any ideas?

Re: WS12-250 POE not finding Camera
I do not know the camera your using but "most" cameras and all cameras that are 802.11af/at compatible would be 48V not 24V.
Do not just turn on POE options without first leaning which POE option you want.
Our switches are "passive" POE not "active or 802.3af/at" POE.

Re: WS12-250 POE not finding Camera
The cameras are "Power supply via Power over Ethernet (PoE): Power must comply with the IEEE 802.3af specification."

802.3af/at is 48V not 24V so of course 24V would not power up 802.3af/at devices.
Read the post I linked above.
Read about 802.3af/at which is active POE, our switches are "passive" POE which means you need to manually turn on POE for each port.
SInce our switches were designed for the WISP industry and UBNT being the most popular devices out there we offer 24V POE option for them.
24VH is for some Ignite and some UBNT radios, NEVER use VH POE options unless you know for sure the device will accept power on all 4 pair.
48VH is for radios like UBNT airFIBERS and will also work with some MIMOSA and UBNT AFX radios as well as some specialized cameras that need power on all 4 pair for things like pan tilt motors, heaters, and lights.
Again read and learn more about "active" and "passive" POE but if your device powers up in an active POE 802.3af/at switch then you would want 48V not 24V as active POE switches do not deliver 24V.
