In this piece yes, I have SFP Gigalight GE-GB-P3RC-J (RJ45 gigabit).
But it's an exception. I don't have SFP modules in most netonix switches. Memory problem have switches without SFP option too.
Memory usage
Re: Memory usage
We're seeing this a bit on 1.5.4.. traced it back to the "Pause Frame" Storm Control option. Disabling that, and memory goes down to normal.

Re: Memory usage
I think that is because enabling or disabling some services causes restart vts_appl (or other daemon). It will help, but not forever.

Able to temporarily fix when toggling Pause Frame to either state too, if it's caught early enough. Seen switches reboot upon GUI login if it has gone too far.

Re: Memory usage
Hi I am new to Netonix, I have only 25 days using a WS-12-250-DC, I came to this forum because everyday my memory usage was increasing up to 116MB today so I knew there must be an issue, I am running 1.5 firmware, after reading this post I disabled the "Pause Frame" storm control option and memory usage came back to 48.9MB. Are you planning to fix this usse?

Re: Memory usage
Pause frames are a normal part of TCP flow control. The storm control feature deals with the issue of a misbehaving device that floods a port with excessive pause frames. There are devices this has been a known bug with (e.g. some other brand switches and radios).
Without this feature on the switch a misbehaving device can flood a port with pause frames causing problems such as severely reduced throughput.
