WS-8-150-AC Lights are on, but nobody home.
WS-8-150-AC Lights are on, but nobody home.
My 2 year old WS-8-150-AC has been randomly dropping connections. I show up and the lights are on, but there is no access to the device. Ping and other protocols will fail. I have rebooted the device through a network power switch and it may stay up for about 24 - 48 hours. Today, I decided to pull the power cable and there was a distinctive electrical crackling noise. Have you seen this issue before? Should I RMA / Repair this?

There was an issue related to arp that sounds very similar to the symptoms you're describing. It was fixed in the latest version 1.5.5 if you can regain access too it temporarily and you aren't on the latest firmware yet. I suggest upgrading by downloading the latest here.
If it is already on the latest firmware you may have a hardware issue and have to RMA it.

Thanks, I tried it and it lasted about 2 days and dropped connection again. Looks like I may need to RMA.
